It’s another rousing edition of Kristin’s Special Live Thoughts! One would almost say… a Ronda rousing edition. Join me and my feelings live as they happen. The fun starts tonight at 8pm ET/5pm PT.

Germaine de Randamie vs Hiroko Yamanaka (145lb)

Round 1: Germaine milking her walk out and I’m loving it. The energy feels good. She got the crowd cheering. Hiroko walks out all business. People don’t seem as familiar with her. We got a dutch girl and a japanese girl in a SoCal cage. Welcome to Mixed Martial Arts. It’s quiet. A lot of circling each other. Both seems hesitant about engaging. Germaine is looking for the big right and lands one but not flush. Germaine lands a few more hard shots and then Hiroko finally comes in for the clinch. Its a stale mate so the ref breaks it up.

Round 2: Similar to the first. Germaine is advancing forward but she seems to have trouble landing her range with Hiroko’s lengthy frame. Germain’s wrestling has improved quite a bit as she’s able to stuff the takedown. Hiroko is taking some hard shots but hanging in there.

Round 3: Was surprising to say the least. Germaine was landing a lot more shots. Hiroko landed a knee to Germaine’s cooter and then we got a time out. Its kind of funny to me cause when this fight started I kept hearing in my head, “hit her in the cooter!” Hiroko gets the respect for being able to stand quite a few direct punches and kicks to the head. I give Germaine the win at 30-27 and the judges agree.

Result: Germaine de Randamie defeats Hiroko Yamanaka by Unanimous Decsion (30-27)

Miesha Tate vs Julie Kedzie (135lb)

Round 1: Julie walks out to Florence and the Machine. I fucking love Julie Kedzie. Miesha opts for Eye of the Tiger. I love both of them. Although, this song on Rock Band drums is deceivingly difficult. OMG. They’re still calling it a special attraction. Amazing round by both fighters. Julie is striking like an absolute beast. Everything is text book perfect. Miesha’s taken a few shots and is starting to slow. Awesome scramble at the end with Miesha going for the armbar. 10-9 Julie.

Round 2: Features some sweet scrambles and nice ground work by both ladies. Miesha was relentless and got Julie caught in a few great sub attempts. 10-9 Miesha.

Round 3: Jesus H these girls are trying to give me a heart attack. Julie continued to dominate stand up flash knocking out Miesha with a head kick, but unable to finish it with ground and pound. They got tangled up in a long armbar attempt with Miesha finally prevaling getting the tap out. Such a great showing by both ladies. Dana’s going to know a few other female fighters names tonight. Fans were on their feet at the end.

Result: Miesha Tate defeats Julie Kedzie by armbar in Round 3, 3:28

Ronda Rousey vs Sarah Kaufman (135lb title fight)

Round 1: Lotta love for Sarah Kaufman, but the place goes absolutely ape shit when Ms. Rousey walks out. Umm… so armbar. That’s done.
